A developer from Clifton is putting up a four-story apartment complex close to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.

The proposed complex at Courtland Street will have 15 apartments, according to city records. Ground floor will have parking for eight vehicles. Second through fourth floors will each have 1 studio, 2 one-bedroom, and 2 two-bedroom apartments. Apartments range from 500 to 900 square feet, according to city records.

Developer David Othman secured municipal approval from the planning board on Sept. 26 to construct the building which will contain 14,586 square feet of space.

The cost to build the apartment complex is estimated to be $800,000, according to documents Othman submitted to the city. The developer has to remove an existing two-story commercial building from 59-63 Courtland Street prior to building the apartments.
