Paterson prostitution sting yields 39 arrests, say police

The police arrested 39 people in a prostitution sting in the city, according to police director Jerry Speziale.

Police arrested 16 alleged prostitutes and 23 johns during the operation on Friday night. Both the johns and the prostitutes were charged for allegedly soliciting sex from undercover police officers.

Undercover police officers posed as both prostitutes and johns during the operation.

The johns and prostitutes came from the city and neighboring towns, according to names and addresses released by police.

Speziale said the Narcotics and Vice Divisions conducted the operation after receiving many quality of life complaints from city residents.

Probably the same dirty drug addicted zombie like hookers they always arrest . The johns should face additional charges for desperation and bad taste.

  You should educate yourself on addiction before making judgement on people. They are somebody's daughter, mother, etc.. You think it's a choice but once addicted it is no longer a choice.

    Im not judging them, but its always the same women they arrest, its not a judgement its a fact they look horrible . Worst yet is the justice system just releases them unless they have warrants instead of mandatory treatment like they do in civilized countries like in Europe.

Bummer, I usually look at these articles to catch a look at the mug shots but they are holding out on us this time. I maintain that one of the best deterrents for stopping prosititution are the mug shots, I mean, who can possibly be aroused looking at some of those women.
