Paterson pays almost $27,000 for damage to utility pole

city-hall

The city agreed to pay $26,769 to settle a property damage claim filed by PSEG, according to government records.

Council members approved the payout last Tuesday.

The claim arose from an incident that occurred on East 25th and 4th Avenue on Dec. 17, 2016. A municipal snowplow lost control on ice and struck an utility pole, damaging the pole and an electrical transformer, said municipal officials.

The payout covers labor, pole, and electrical transformer expenses incurred by PSEG.

How about if PSE&G starts paying Paterson back for proper road repairs? After all they dig up the streets and doing a lousy job of re-paving!
