A city man has been found guilty of obtaining heroin from a supplier in the Bronx and distributing it to street-level drug dealers in the Paterson area.

Reinaldo Rodriguez, 30-year-old, was found guilty of two counts of drug trafficking by a federal jury. He was convicted of conspiracy to distribute a kilogram or more of heroin and possession with the intent to distribute heroin after a four-day trial, authorities said on Friday.

Rodriguez, known on the street as “Memo” and “Killa,” faces 10 years to life in prison.

From June 2015 through April 20, 2016, Rodriguez was involved in a conspiracy to obtain heroin labeled “Goosebumps,” “Transformers,” “Wendy’s,” and “New Jack City” from Bronx, New York to sell to drug dealers in Paterson.

Authorities conducted surveillance while Rodriguez delivered the stamped heroin to a confidential source.

Rodriguez was heard discussing drug trafficking in wiretaps, authorities said.

Rodriguez was arrested with four other men in 2017. Charlie Rodriguez of Paterson; Victor Alfonso Alvarez Martinez of Bronx; Edward M. Stanel of Parsippany; and Joseph Trimarco of Stony Point, New York.

In 2016, authorities arrested Pablo Goris-Castellano of Bronx; Edwin Lopez of Elmwood Park; and Carolina Almonte of Bronx for their alleged role in the same network.

Authorities said the network supplied mid-level dealers in Paterson from large amounts of wholesale heroin it amassed in multiple locations in the Bronx. Couriers delivered heroin to Paterson dealers for distribution in the city or re-sell to street-level dealers in Morris County in New Jersey and Rockland County in New York.

Lopez received more than 13 years in prison in 2017 for moving 6.6 pounds of heroin from Bronx to Paterson. Other cases are still pending.
