Three men were injured in two separate shootings early Sunday morning in Paterson, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Police said a 26-year-old and a 23-year-old were injured in a shooting on Lawrence and Mercer streets at around 12:47 a.m. Police responded to report of a shooting in the area, but could not locate victims.

A short time later, both victims, Paterson residents, arrive at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds.

Almost three hours later, police responded to a second shooting on Market Street and Lakeview Avenue. A 23-year-old Paterson man was shot at around 3:30 a.m. He arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound, authorities said.

Both incidents remain under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.
