Paterson man shot on Park Avenue sought treatment at Hackensack hospital

A city man was injured in a shooting on Park Avenue and East 22nd Street early Saturday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The victim, 33-year-old, arrived at the Hackensack Medical Center in Hackensack at 8:55 a.m. seeking treatment for non-fatal gunshot wounds. Authorities believe the victim was injured when gunfire erupted in the area of Park Avenue and East 22nd Street at around 3 a.m.

Police continue to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Paterson Police Ceasefire Unit at 973-321-1342.

    I think the reason why they go to other hospitals in other towns is because they don’t think it will be reported.
    All crime involving gums must be reported
    The hospital have to call the police.
    The police will call the prosecutor.
    The hospital cannot not report, so go to the nearest hospital next time .
