Body pulled out of Passaic River in Paterson

A body was pulled out of the Passaic River in Paterson on Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters pulled the body out of the river in the area of Memorial Drive and West Broadway at around 12:15 p.m.

The bloated body was that of a man in his late 20s, according to law enforcement sources.

Police do not suspect foul play.

The medical examiner has taken the body for an autopsy to determine cause of death.

A passerby saw the body floating in the river and called police.
