A man was killed and another was injured in a shooting on 12th Avenue early Sunday morning, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police identified the man killed as Rajahn Alston, 36, of Paterson. A second man, 35-year-old Jason Frierson, sustain non-fatal injuries in the incident.
Authorities said police responded to the shooting outside 317 12th Avenue at around 4:01 a.m. On arrival, police discovered both victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both men were rushed to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.
Alston was pronounced dead at 4:33 a.m, police said.
Frierson remains in stable condition, authorities said.
