A student and three staff members at the Paterson Public Schools tested positive for the new coronavirus.

The student from John F. Kennedy High School tested positive last week. The staff members, 2 from the Great Falls Academy and 1 from Rosa Parks High School, tested positive for Covid-19 this week.

Superintendent Eileen Shafer notified people who may have come in contact with the four people. District schools have been closed since Mar. 17 due to the spreading coronavirus. Governor Phil Murphy on Tuesday said all New Jersey will remain closed until further notice.

The number of coronavirus cases in Paterson skyrocketed on Tuesday from 36 to 71. One person has died from the virus in the city.

Shafer’s thinking, “Staff dies. I can eliminate positions and give myself and my sycophantic administrator/lackeys a raise. Bwaaahaahaahaa!”
