Downed Traffic Pole In Paterson

On the intersection, near Broadway Pizza, there stands in front of the pizza shop, a traffic pole, which during the early morning hours (about 8 am) of 27th August, was in middle of the road. Some have speculated that a drunk driver rammed his car into the pole causing the signal to drop, others just watched in disbelief as police officers blocked off roads, and workers picked up pieces of broken traffic lights.
The street leading into Broadway was closed for about an hour while crews worked on to bring up the pole, which was working again by 10 am.
