Oldest Woman In New Jersey Dies At Age 110

Melva Radcliffe, a native of Paterson, is considered to be the oldest woman in New Jersey, passed away on Friday, she was 110-years-old, only three days short of celebrating her 111th birthday, reported The Record.
She graduated from William Paterson University which during her day was known as Paterson Normal School; after graduation Ms Radcliffe taught hundreds of student during her long, 40 years teaching career in the Paterson school district.
At her last birthday party on March 3, 2011, she was asked what was her secret to living a long life, she responded, “I don’t know, God doesn’t want me yet,” said the article.
