New Law Prohibits Puffing In Parks

A new law forbids visitors from lighting up at parks located inside Paterson. Signs have gone up around Great Falls National Park as well as other parks around the city with messages that inform visitors not to smoke.The new measure is in place to protect children and other park-goers from secondhand smoke.
If caught violating the new ordinance, the offender faces a fine of 50 bucks, upon second and third infraction the fine climbs to as much as 500 dollars on the 3rd transgression.
