County Jail on Lockdown

Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik in response to the coming storm, Hurricane Sandy, a hurricane being described as the worst in two decades, has reduced visiting hours at the Passaic County Jail, and he has said his forces are on alert as the storm makes its away into Northern New Jersey, as was reported by another newspaper..
Mr Berdnik plans to lock down the prison preventing inmate movements so as to prevent chaos inside the jail.
