Police Caught the Roberto Clemente Park Shooter

During an afternoon in late September a teenager armed with weapon shot at two different persons in Roberto Clemente Park; police say the shots were fired as a result of a fight.
Authorities found the 18-year-old, who was 17 during the aforementioned incident, wondering near a gas station near Madison Avenue and Market Street, where he was handcuffed without an incident.
The teen has been charged with 2 counts attempted murder and weapons possession; and is being held at the Essex County Detention Center. Detectives are working with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office to try the then 17-year-old as an adult.
