A routine traffic stop on Market Street in Paterson by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department yielded 4,407 glassine packets of heroin, reported a local paper.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office saw a vehicle behaving suspiciously on Market Street at around 10:30pm, pulled it over, and saw a plastic bag in the back passenger seat that was open and inside it were small packets, which were later identified as packaged envelopes of illegal drug ready for distribution on the streets.
Authorities arrested Robert Grady, the driver, 36-year-old, and Marguerit Austin, 26; both individuals are being held at the Passaic County Jail. The drugs recovered during the traffic stop has a street value of more than $80,000.
