Man shot on Market Street

A Passaic City man who was walking near Market and East 28th Streets was approached by a black man wearing dreadlocks and a brown hoodie; both man had a brief conversation, the suspect likely asked a general question to the victim; a little later the 39-year-old Passaic man was shot.
The hooded man without a warning took out a handgun and shit his victim in the abdomen; the shooter then left the scene while the victim scrambled towards a gas station to seek help.
Police have yet to determine a motive behind the shooting. The victim is being treated at a local hospital for gunshot wound; the suspect remains at large.
The incident took place at around 6am on Christmas morning.
