3 Patersonians recognized for excellence at Dover Business College

Three Paterson residents, two of them have passed an exam that will set the course for their professional lives, and the 3rd was awarded with being an outstanding student for the Fall 2012 quarter.

Marnel Liriano, a resident of Paterson, after graduating from Patient Care Technician (PCT) program at Dover Business College, a small school located in Clifton, passed the Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT); passage of which will allow the newly grad to work in the healthcare industry including hospitals, mental health facilities and rehabilitation centers.

Anneidy Abreu, another Paterson resident, after graduating from the Medical Insurance and Coding Administration (MICA) program at the college, passed the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) exam, which will allow this grad to also work inside the rapidly-growing healthcare industry.

Another student, Quashema Abeson, from Paterson, was named outstanding student of the quarter Fall 2012; “Outstanding Students of the Quarter are chosen based upon good academic standing and a consistent display of professionalism in dress, language and overall disposition,” according to a statement issued by the college.
