Robber arrested near McBride Avenue

A man who robbed two stores, one on Wayne Avenue and the other on McBride Avenue, by holding their employees at gunpoint has been arrested.
Shamir Belton, 21-year-old, robbed a store in Wayne Avenue at around 10pm, and then he moved to rob a gas station in McBride Avenue, where the gas station employee saw him and noticing suspicious behavior called police.
Paterson Police quickly responded to the scene, and found the gas station had already been robbed; the gas station attended pointed police towards the direction Mr Belton fled towards; police after canvasing found him entering a vehicle, where they arrested him.
After the arrested authorities determined that it was Mr Belton who was responsible for the two robberies.
