Last year, in September, a woman who was dancing at a party in Montgomery Park was shot while fleeing a shooting incident that took place. Police received a call around 5am on September 29th, 2012 informing them of a shooting.
Paterson Police arrived on the scene, scanned the area, but found no victim or shooter. Sometimes later they received a call from St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center: a person had arrived with a gunshot wound.
The victim informed police she was attending a party in Montgomery Street when a shooting broke out; the woman attempted to flee to preserve her life, when she heard a shot, and realized she had been struck.
After a lengthy investigation police have identified a suspect: Javon Perry (pictured). Police have charged Mr Perry with attempted murder, and are asking anyone with information about him to dial 973-321-1342.
