On Wednesday afternoon an unsuspecting woman heard her bell ring in her 20th Avenue home: it was a PSEG worker attempting to mend a gas leak in the area. The woman opened the door allowing the man in; once inside the man, who was dressed in a fake PSEG uniform, pulled out a gun, and threatened her.

Police describe the conman as a Hispanic male in his 20s. After the gunman threatened the woman, she panicked and began to scream, forcing the gunman to flee the scene.

The victim, 56-year-old, possibly saved her life by panicking. Paterson Police are investigating the incident.
