Shouting neighbor causes gunman to flee

A man who was about to enter his home on East 22nd Street was attacked by a gunman who pistol-whipped him over the head; however, a neighbor, who saw the incident unfolding shouted at the gunman.
The shouting neighbor, who was threatened by the gunman, possibly saved the victim from much grief; after the neighbor shouted, the gunman fled the scene. The incident happened on Sunday night at around 10:30pm.
The victim was treated on the scene for his injuries. Paterson Police are investigating the incident.
