During a violent Saturday that began with the wounding of a North Bergen man continued late into the evening with a shooting near Hine and Leslie Streets.

In the second shooting incident: a Hackensack man, 34-year-old, was shot in the neck and face near Van Houten and Caroll Streets. That incident appears to be a robbery gone wrong — a man approached the Hackensack man and attempted to rob him, when a struggle was signaled, the suspect shot the victim several time. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.

In the 3rd shooting incident: a group of men were walking to a car near Hine and Leslie Streets, at around 6:15pm, when another approached, and an argument ensued. The newly arrived man pulled out a gun, at this point the others got into the vehicle and attempted to drive away; however, it was too late, the gunman began shooting at the car, leaving one man wounded in the back.

The 27-year-old victim, of Paterson, was transported to hospital by his friends.

Police are investigating all three incidents.
