Man snatches fake gun from suspect to thwart a robbery on 3rd Avenue

A man who was outside thwarted a robbery attempted by grabbing the assailant’s weapon on Wednesday morning, according to Paterson Police.
The victim, was outside on 3rd Avenue smoking a cigarette, at around 1am Wednesday, when a man, who appeared to be armed, approached him. The victim quickly attempted to grab the weapon from the gunman; however, after snatching the weapon, he realized it was fake.
The suspect ran after being exposed as a fake.
