50-year-old fatally stabbed near East 19th Street

A man who was in the area of East 19th Street was stabbed to death during what appears to be a street brawl Monday night, according to Paterson Police.
The victim, Keith Anderson, 50-year-old, was found stabbed in the chest inside a parking lot on 12th Avenue, at around 11:30 p.m. on Monday. Anderson was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead within 30 minutes.
Police were called to the area by a local who reported a fight was taking place near 12th Avenue.
This is the third homicide in the city just this month — only 9 days in.
