Man robbed on Manchester Avenue despite a struggle

A man was robbed on Manchester Avenue on Saturday morning, according to the Paterson Police Department.
The victim, a city resident, was outside on Manchester Avenue, at around 6:40 a.m., when a gunman approached him from behind, pointed a gun, and demanded everything he had.
The gunman managed to strip the victim of his cellphone and wallet; however, the victim, for some reason, followed the gunman after the episode had ended, and the two engaged in a struggle.
The victim carefully tracked the suspect to the area of Wayne Avenue, where he engaged the suspect and attempted to re-take his $400 that was inside his wallet and his iPhone; a brief scuffle ensued, but the suspect managed to flee with both the phone and the wallet.
