A fire on a large building on Dey Street left five people displaced on Sunday afternoon, according to the Paterson Fire Department.
The fire began burning at around 4 p.m. on Sunday on the 5th floor of the Maurice J. Brick Residence, a housing complex for senior citizens, where it burned for more than half-an-hour, before firefighter responded to the scene.
Four fire trucks made it to the burning building before anyone inside the burning fifth floor was injured; however, five individuals were displaced, who had to seek shelter from relatives and friends.
It remains unclear what sparked the fire, the commander who responded to the blaze was unavailable for comments.
