Man wounded on Kearney Street in broad daylight

A city man was wounded on Friday afternoon on Kearney Street, according to the Paterson Police Department.
The victim, 25-year-old, was near the intersection of Crosby Avenue and Kearney Street at around 1:15 p.m. on Friday when the suspect approached him and fired once. The victim was wounded in the left leg when the suspect produced a handgun and released a bullet.
The motive for the shooting remains unclear.
The wounded man was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment; on Friday he remained in stable condition.
