The city’s public schools will be closed on Wednesday, according to an announcement issued by the district on Wednesday evening.

“Due to the inclement weather, all schools and district offices will be closed Wednesday, January 22. All after-school programs have been cancelled,” read the announcement on the school district’s website.

Students and parents were notified through automatic robocall on Wednesday night.

Tomorrow’s school board meeting has yet to be cancelled. “No decision yet about board meeting,” said Terry Corallo, the district’s spokesperson. If the storm continues throughout the morning and day, it will likely be cancelled.
