A 30-year-old man is in critical but stable condition after being involved in a shooting incident early Thursday morning near Rosa Parks Boulevard, according to the Paterson Police Department.

The victim was in the intersection near Hamilton Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard at around 5 a.m. on Thursday.

The victim apparently involved himself in a “confrontation” that resulted in him being shot multiple times, according to police. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the torso and both arms. He was wounded using a shotgun.

After being wounded the victim managed his own transportation to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. The man is being treated for his wounds, while police investigate the incident.
