Seven Wayne residents were arrested Thursday after police found them involved in the city’s illegal drug trade, announced the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Tyler Galione, 22; Mark Tucker, 21; Timothy Lindstrom, 23; Robert Elk, 22; Keir Bowers, 23; Andrew Alain, 21; Steven Cerqueira, 22; were arrested earlier today after a joint six-months investigation spearheaded by the county prosecutor’s office.

The prosecutor’s office worked with police in Wayne, Clifton, Paterson, and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Last week the prosecutor’s office dismantled a North Jersey drug distribution network, arresting its leader Fidel Gonzalez, a city resident. The seven arrested today patronized Gonzalez’s distribution networking by purchasing pills from city streets.

“The investigation revealed that numerous individuals were coming from Wayne to Paterson to purchase prescription pills, namely Oxycodone, from Fidel Gonzalez’ prescription drug distribution network,” according to the prosecutor’s office.

The seven have been charged with drug related offenses, said the prosecutor’s office.
