The city has accepted a $90,000 settlement from a 2009 case involving a city police officer.
Ramon Cruz, police officer, suffered bodily injuries on October 30th, 2009 while on duty, according to city records.
Cruz filed for workers compensation and made a recovery in a civil suit entitling the city reimbursement from the settlement for paying out workers compensation benefits.
As a result the city recovered $90,000.
The city often pays out large sums in lawsuits, but in rare instances it receives money.
