$37,000 paid out in accident involving city truck

City official last week quietly approved $37,500 to settle a pending lawsuit involving a city owned truck, according to city records.
Pedro Aguiar, whose vehicle was struck by a city owned truck, sued the city for alleged damages. City records state the accident took place on January 10th, 2011.
Council members last Tuesday approved the settlement without any public discussion.
