Walking tour of historic downtown being held April 18

The city’s historic preservation commission is hosting a guided walking tour of historic downtown commercial buildings with an emphasis on the architecture of Fred Wesley Wentworth on April 18 beginning at 10 a.m.

Guided by author and architect Richard Polton the tour will meet in front of the Hamilton Club building on 32 Church Street, Paterson, NJ. Polton will focus on downtown buildings that were erected during the early 20th century.

Polton is the author of The Life and Times of Fred Wesley Wentworth: The Architect Who Shaped Paterson, NJ and Its People.

During the day of tour visitors are asked to bring their own water and dress comfortably.
