City police arrested a teenager late Sunday night on Harrison Street after they responded to a report of two men arguing over a handgun, said police director Jerry Speziale.
Narcotics detectives in the area responded to 202 Harrison Street at about 11:25 p.m. A suspect, 16, led police on a foot pursuit. He tossed the .40 caliber Taurus handgun with 15 live rounds. Detectives chased the suspect and arrested him at 270 Governor Street.
The weapon was recovered at 258 Governor Street, said the director.
