Paterson organizations providing Obamacare enrollment assistance

With the third sign-up season underway at the government’s online health insurance marketplace, a number of events in Paterson have been organized to assist individuals in successfully obtaining healthcare coverage through Obamacare.

Those who have questions about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) or need assistance in enrolling via the online market place may contact the Paterson Free Public Library, Passaic County Board of Social Services, Community Health Law Project, Passaic County One Stop Career Center, and the United Way of Passaic County.

The Danforth Memorial Library will hold enrollment assistance courtesy of the Community Health Law Project on Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Passaic County Board of Social Services will provide Medicaid assistance on Wednesdays from 12:30-3:30 p.m. at the library located at 250 Broadway.

Passaic County One Stop Career Center located at 200 Memorial Drive will provide enrollment assistance Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Assistance at the library and the one-stop center are given on a walk-in basis.

The United Way of Passaic County will provide individuals enrollment assistance Monday through Friday at 301 Main Street (upper level). Call 973-279-8900 for appointment.

The 2016 enrollment period for Obamacare opened on Sunday, November 1, 2015. The 2016 marketplace open enrollment ends on January 31, 2016.
