An Elmwood Park man was wounded Sunday night on 10th Avenue, according to the Paterson Police Department.

The victim, 19-year-old, was wounded in the upper torso in the area of 10th Avenue and East 28th Street at around 10:10 p.m. on Sunday, police said.

Police officers responded to gunfire in the area, but were not able to locate any victims. A call came from St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center that a gunshot victim had arrived by private vehicle, police said.

The victim is in critical but stable condition, Patrick Murray, head of the Ceasefire Unit, said.
