Man wounded in North 4th Street drive-by shooting in Paterson

A 23-year-old city man was wounded in the leg Wednesday afternoon in a shooting on North 4th Street, according to the Paterson Police Department.
The victim was shot at around 2:45 p.m. in the area of North 4th Street and Clinton Street and sustained gunshot wounds to the upper leg, police said.
“At this time, it appears that the victim was on the street near the intersection when shots were fired from a vehicle travelling East on North 4 Street,” Patrick Murray, head of the Ceasefire Unit, said. “The victim was struck and the vehicle continued on North 4 Street. “
Police rushed the victim to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. The victim is in stable condition, police said.
