Seven people were arrested in a drug raid on Auburn Street that yielded 341 bags of heroin, 33 bags of crack-cocaine, and a handgun on Tuesday evening, according to police.

Arrested on various drug charges were city residents Corey L. Nero, 42; Xavier Bernard, 25; Terrell Hall, 46; Christian Cody, 22; Gregory Williams, 52; and Itlin State, 49. Police also arrested Kareen T. Edmond, 36, for having in possession a 9 mm High Point handgun.

$1,485 in suspected drug proceeds were taken from the suspect during the raid. Police said the raid took place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at 84 Auburn Street.

Nero had in possession 33 baggies of crack-cocaine. Hall had 34 glassines of heroin. And Cody had 306 glassines of heroin, according to police.

Edmond also has been charged with resisting arrest. He also has a criminal record which bars him from having weapons, according to police.

Police said State was found in possession of drug paraphernalia.

“Another significant drug raid and weapon or for our streets by Paterson’s finest,” said police director Jerry Speziale. “We will take one bag at a time one gun at a time and block by block to remove the illegal drugs and weapons from our streets.”
