19 candidates are running in the city’s municipal elections to fill six city council seats on Tuesday.

Polls opened at 6 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m.

1st Ward
Three candidates are running in the 1st Ward: Antoinette Brevard, Michael Jackson*, and Veronica Ovalles. Read our coverage of the 1st Ward election before heading to the polls.

2nd Ward
Four men are looking to capture the 2nd Ward council seat. Candidates are: Mohammed Akhtaruzzaman*, Eddie Gonzalez, Aslon Goow, and Shahin Khalique. Read up on the candidates and issues before going to vote.
