A city man making an improper U-turn on East 41st Street and 18th Avenue was pulled over and arrested for having a handgun with 11 bullets hidden inside his glove compartment on Sunday morning, according to Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik.
Dion Duncan, 41-year-old, spoke nervously to officers Joseph Royce and Chelsea Parisi at 11:22 a.m. while continuously motioning at the glove box of his silver GMC truck. Duncan had in possession a Starfire 9mm handgun and 11 rounds in a magazine.
Authorities found Duncan had an outstanding criminal warrant out of Paterson and he was on an Intensive Supervision Parole (ISP) program. He was charged with weapons offenses including certain person not to have a firearm.
Duncan was transported to police cellblock awaiting court appearance.
