Authorities are investigating a suspicious package that was found underneath the bridge of 16th and and Market Street on Monday morning.

The Passaic County bomb squad was on the scene investigating at around 9:05 a.m.

Police and fire officials were also at the scene investigating. Investigators from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were at the scene as well.

The location where the suspicious package was found is steps away from the Paterson Train Station.

Witnesses reported authorities deployed a robot at the scene. Police cordoned off the area.
