Paterson hosting seminar for developers and potential homeowners

The city is hosting an informative seminar called “Boards-Off” for both developers and potential homeowners to encourage investment and promote homeownership in the neighborhoods.
Developers will be provided detailed information on investment and economic opportunities and potential homebuyers will be provided guidance in seeking to pre-qualify to purchase a renovated home through the program.
Seminar will cover grant regulations, screening process, investment requirement, site locations, and marketing requirements for potential tenants.
“Developers and individuals can acquire properties in targeted neighborhoods and use grant funds for the property renovation cost needed to eradicate neighborhood blight,” read the city’s announcement of the seminar.
The seminar is being put on in partnership with the Paterson Housing Authority. High ranking city officials from various departments will be present during the seminar. The seminar will take place on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Christopher Hope Center at 60 Temple Street.
