A 31-year-old city man was wounded in a shooting on Front Street close to Wayne Avenue early Wednesday morning, according to police.

Police said the victim was exiting his home when he was approached by three men in their 20s who demanded he hand over his belongings at about 12:10 a.m. A struggle ensued, one of the suspects fired a weapon striking the victim in the leg.

Three suspects then fled on Front Street towards Preakness Avenue. Police said the victim was taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for medical attention. He was treated and released, said police.
