Police arrest 47, seize 1,100 packets of heroin, $20,712 cash in weekly drug sweep

The city’s weekly drug sweep netted 47 arrests, 1,100 glassines of heroin, and $20,712 in suspected drug money, according to police.
Police busted drug dealers and buyers throughout the city from October 25th through November 7th, 2016, said police director Jerry Speziale.
105 baggies of marijuana, 1 marijuana cigar, 29 Xanax pills, 7 Suboxone Film, 3 baggies of crack-cocaine, 12 Oxycodone polls, 1 bottle of Promethazine, 11 jars of marijuana, 8 baggies of powdered cocaine, 10 fluid ounces of Phencyclidine (PCP), 9 burnt marijuana cigars, 8 grams of MDMA, and 16 Ecstasy pills were seized in the sweep, according to police.
“The narcotics division has increased its efforts in ridding our city of illegal drugs,” said Speziale.
