A family of five people was displaced by a single-alarm fire at their Dixon Avenue home on Monday afternoon, said deputy fire chief Frank Calamita.
Calamita said the fire at 84 Dixon Avenue came in at 12:25 p.m. He said the fire was in the basement and the first floor of the two-story single-family home.
Smoke from the blaze spread throughout the building, he said. Firefighters contained the flames at about 1:15 p.m.
No one was injured in the blaze.
The deputy fire chief said two adults and three children were displaced due to the fire. He said the family was not home when the fire started at the house.
The family is self-relocating, he said.
