A Little Falls woman overdosed on heroin in Paterson after allegedly taking doses of heroin stamped “Dogg Food.”
Police found the woman unresponsive and not breathing on Sheridan Avenue between Henry Street and Totowa Avenue at around 12:42 a.m. on Sunday, according to authorities.
A dose of Naloxone administered by the officers rendered the woman responsible but she remained sedated. Her care was transferred to local emergency medical services, authorities said.
Police found 5 glassine bags stamped with “DOGG FOOD” containing suspected heroin at the scene, authorities said.
This is the 9th overdose incident in Passaic County in 2017 that required the deployment of the life-saving overdose spray called Naloxone.
