Paterson man shot in leg walking on Union Avenue

A city man walking on Union Avenue late Sunday night was shot in the leg, according to police.
The 43-year-old victim was walking west on Union Avenue near Redwood Avenue at around 11 p.m. when shots were fired. He was struck in the leg, police said. The victim walked to his residence on McBride Avenue seeking assistance.
Police were called to his house on report of a man shot. The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment. He was treated and released, police said.
The investigation into the shooting is continuing at this time, police said.
