A city man was arrested and charged with drug offenses for having 119 glassine envelopes of heroin on Monday afternoon, according to police.
Kassiem Mckinney, 25-year-old, was taken into custody outside of 300 Hamilton Avenue. Police director Jerry Speziale said the arrest was the result of numerous complaints from area residents about drug dealing, loud music, public drinking, and other issues.
Mckinney was arrested at around 2:50 p.m., police said. $1,795 in cash was confiscated from him. Police charged him with drug possession, intent to distribute, and intent to distribute 1,000 feet of School 6.
