I am writing this letter in support of bringing the halls to the falls. As I understand it, the Great Falls holds a great deal of historical significance on a local, state and federal level. I was in Manhattan last week and was approached by tourists from Finland who wanted to see the Great Falls. For some reason, these folks thought it was an attraction in New York City.

When I explained to them that the Falls were in Paterson, NJ the entire group became excited to have been able to find someone to assist them. I had to clarify to them that it wasn’t the Niagara Falls but the Great Falls. At that moment, I truly began to understand just how much of a jewel we have as Patersonians.

Now, I don’t know the ins and outs or intricate details of the Falls but I know enough to realize that by focusing our attention on making it an official tourist attraction with shops, restaurants and such it will help to bring revenue to the city. So, whoever is in charge of this project should get busy because the summer will be here before we know it and we want our jewel to be ready for the tourists and the world.
