A 16-year-old girl suffered minor injuries in a Ryerson Avenue house fire on Wednesday afternoon, said deputy fire chief Frank Calamita. He said 13 people were displaced as a result of the fire.
Calamita said the fire was reported at 4:01 p.m. He said firefighters quickly extinguished the single-alarm blaze at the attic of the two-story house at 44 Ryerson Avenue. He said the teen was treated at the scene and taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.
The American Red Cross is assisting the 12 adults and the 1 child displaced by the fire.
